Azure-Functions: Can you use web.config restrictions (e.g. IP restriction or basic Auth) -

are these, or other web.config techniques possible on azure functions or need coded?

i created web.config in base of wwwroot of azure function, if did right; appears ignored.

edit: further clarify "why", have qa site needs accessible internal , external testers. we'd make site not available, want able give people @ few locations access testing.

we don't know every last person doing testing, however, can't enable azure ad auth. we'd rather not maintain separate code make available.

because of limitation, features require web.config customization not supported standard function app model (as can see in answer linked @mikhail, there workarounds), , alternative, currently, handle requirement in code.
