Javascript or Jquery -

as web designer should learn javascript or jquery , how of should have?

i find javascript pretty difficult learn scratch because inst not 1 of web designer responsibilities 1 of requirements web designers nowadays. well, jquery enough have web designer? , how long takes me study since have html , css skills, , part of jquery should learn, im confuse, please need advice possible.

i think have learn javascript first , them jquery. if u learn js first can able understand jquery easily. learning javascript not helpful better have practice helpful while developing web application
