i'm trying add line numbers code on website. when copy-pasting code, line numbers should not appear in result. best attempt far comes down using table 1 row , 2 cells: 1 line numbers , 1 actual code. standalone .html example here.
it's working fine (chrome/safari/firefox) except ie11: precedes each line space code won't run anymore.
how modify either html/the css/both in order prevent this? solution not have work ie10 or below since i've negligible pageviews these versions.
